Yesterday I was so pleased when I went to my teacher swap partner’s website to see that she had posted about a new Madeline book, by the author’s grandson, that I did not know about. Imagine how pleased I was today when I see that the author of that new book will be coming to my favorite Columbus bookstore for a reading! If you live in the central Ohio, come check it out. This store is worth the trip!

Announcing

John Bemelmans Marciano

reading his latest book

Madeline and the Cats of Rome

Friday, September 26th at 1:30 p.m.

Autographing to follow until 3:30

After finding an unfinished manuscript in his deceased grandfather’s belongings, John Bemelmans Marciano set out to finish it and continue the charming stories about a very spirited little girl, Madeline. The fact that Ludwig Bemelmans based his character on his own daughter, John’s mother Madeline, made John’s project all the more enticing.

Join us as we hear about Madeline’s efforts to apprehend a camera thief and find shelter for homeless cats in the stunning city of Rome.
