wildthingspromo1I read at School Library Journal that Where the Wild Things Are is being made into a movie that will be released Oct. 09.  I’m trying to think of another example of a picture book that has been turned into a movie, but can’t come up with one at this moment. I wonder what tone they’ll take with the movie? It’s hard to tell if the monsters will be cute or scary.

Seems like it’s a year of making books into movies. I found this preview of Inkheart, another book I’ve enjoyed that I hope they don’t mess up by making a book that is not true to the original story.
